Başak Şahin-Acar is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Middle East Technical University (METU). She received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of New Hampshire. Her research focuses on memory development in the family context and cultural groups, and also examines individual differences in this development. She is also affiliated with the Graduate Program of Gender and Women’s Studies at METU.
