Prof. Dr. Michelle Adams,&nbsp;Prof. Dr. Carnot Nelson,&nbsp;Prof. Dr. Timothea Toulopoulou, Assoc. Prof. Hande Ilgaz became the chairs in 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2025 respectively. Starting in&nbsp;July 2025, <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/psy.bilkent.edu.tr\/?page_id=2947\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2947\"><strong>Assoc. Prof. Hande Ilgaz<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span> took over the responsibility of Chair of the Psychology Department.&nbsp;<\/span>The Department continues to grow and flourish, and has distinguished, internationally-recognized full time faculty members, who are actively doing research and teaching in various subdisciplines of psychology, with a cognitive approach to all research questions. We prepare our students for professions both inside and outside of academic life.
